Upturn dropper

GCode's Upturn Dropper swiftly shifts from a 140mm climbing setting to a 170mm downhill mode with a saddle drop. The 4-bar system integrates with the rear suspension for a 200mm range. Lowered offers 170mm travel, a low BB, slacker head angle, and minimal pedal kickback. Raised, it provides 140mm travel, a higher BB, less SAG, a steeper head angle, and increased anti-squat, maintaining the seat angle in all positions.

Inhouse CNC machining

Inhouse CNC machining allows us to create mechanical art pieces in micro-scale production without compromising quality and performance. To get the most of what metal can give in GCode, we use only top-grade 7075 aluminum, which is nearly twice as durable as weldable alloys in mass-produced alu frames. Even if the worst crash happens, we can always make replaceable parts long after the end of production! This bike is made to last a life-long adventure!

Keep it real

No stakeholders, no grow-at-all-cost attitude. We sincerely believe in a company whose sole existence is based on riders' perspectives. The Black Math was founded on an ongoing project to explore creative ways to improve the riding experience, hold to our freeride roots, and make a reliable tool to spend a whole day in the saddle.

True 2-in-1 feeling

“Climbs like XC, descends like DH bike.” Many boasted about it, but GCode has made it without additional cables, triggers, batteries, or apps...  If you have already adapted to using dropper posts within your rides, that is all you need to operate the Upturn Dropper system. Drop the saddle and enjoy a lower, slacker bike with more travel and the most aggressive geometry!

Ride more trails

Have you ever had difficulty deciding what kind of bike will best suit a wide range of trail segments? GCode lets you change your mind on the run. Time to pedal? Save your energy for the ride down with an ergonomic and efficient climbing setup. Time to shred? Feel the confidence and control delivered by downhill-oriented geometry and perfectly plush suspension of DH-mode. Time to pedal again? No problem.

As you wish

One of our goals is to make it possible for riders/mechanics to be heard through the development. We specialize in solutions that no other companies do. The GCode frame is a customizable platform we will keep building up around the Upturn dropper system. If you have any special wishes, except cable tourism - contact us.

Black Math Bikes is more than just a piece of metal

It's a local movement to be a small-scale stoke provider with international reach. This project focuses on craftsmanship and precision. Using the best technologies to develop fun pieces of art. We aim to use robust materials and simplify the need for more bikes while protecting the idea of making less mess while playing with the "let's make a company" thing today.

Suspension

  • Control your suspension.Travel change between riding modes is the effect of different Leverage Ratio - that is how we get different amount of travel from the same shock setup. The flat shape of progression curve means you get maximum freedom to tune your favourite shock work best for your riding style.

  • Stable + grippy. The falling Anti-rise combines the best of both words of braking force management styles. More anti-rise at the beginning effectively prevents the weight transfer when hitting the brake. But only to the certain point. Thanks to lower amount of A-R deper in the travel, there is always a fair amount of free suspension movement left to provide grip and hit absorption.

  • Silky smooth. The climbing mode bring more support from shock's spring and damping when pedalling hard. Using this magic trick we could reduce overall amount of anti-squat, therefore get rid of pedal kickback and bring unmatchable smooth suspension action in DH mode.
